Top Alabama judge eager to defy federal law on gay marriage

In blatant violation of federal court rulings, Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore has asked all probate judges to maintain Alabama’s same-sex marriage ban by denying marriage licenses. Six months ago a Supreme Court decision rendered the ban illegal, yet Roy Moore has continued to ignore federal law.  VOX explores Moore’s past efforts to deny Supreme Court orders and Alabama’s history of defying civil rights rulings.
