Video footage shows protestors chaining their cars to the Bay Bridge to block westbound traffic into San Francisco. They have a banner reading “Black Health Matters” and have built a shrine to the victims of police shootings. Another protest group currently blocks an I-80 onramp.
“Police have begun to make arrests on the bridge.
The Bay Bridge protesters are part of a group called Black Seed, a self-described black, queer liberation collective.
This is the second year in a row they have used Martin Luther King Jr. Day in part of a call for 96 Hours of Direct Action, by the Anti-Police Terror Project.”
