Black Lives Matter – NYCShutitdown Marches Through The Streets Of Manhattan For Yvonne McNeil

As they have every Monday since the non-indictment of Daniel Pantaleo, Black Lives Matter/NYCShutitdown marched in the streets last night for the victims of police brutality. This week, the victim was Yvonne McNeil, an unarmed black woman who was killed by NYPD in 2009. As usual, local organizer Keegan Stephan was live tweeting throughout the night.

In an effort to dwarf the NYPD, the demonstrators took the subway up to Harlem and decided to read the facts of her case to the subway passengers too.
