Viral Video Shows Milwaukee High School Teacher Slam, Choke And Curse Student In Class, Controversy Follows N-Word And Violent Attack

A 17-second video recorded by a high school student is now making its run on social media.  The video, published and shared via YouTube, shows a high school teacher’s aide slamming a student into a desk and then shoving him to the floor, before holding him to the ground with hand around the youth’s throat.  The teacher can be heard dropping F-bombs and the N-word.  The source of the video is said to be from Bay View High School in Milwaukee.

According to WISN-12, the student was attacked on Wednesday and the teacher’s aide was arrested for physical abuse of a child just a few hours later.  The Milwaukee police then spent the day investigating through the MPD’s specialized school squad.

The child was identified to be 14-years-old, while the aide was 39.

A police spokesman has said the case will be turned over to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.

The video itself is unable to explain how the attack had been provoked or what led to this violent outburst from the teacher’s aide.

From interviews conducted by Fox 6 NOW, students in the classroom reported that the fight between the student and teacher were not broken up until security entered the classroom.

The 14-year-old was reportedly treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. He could be facing consequences for his behavior in the classroom, whether from MPS or the school.  The teacher’s aide may face termination by the school, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Milwaukee Public Schools spokesman Tony Tagliavia has called the incident “deeply disturbing.”
