A group of Donald Trump supporters over the weekend has started calling for volunteers to join a militia named Lion’s Guard, whose aim is to protect voters against “violent far-left agitators.”
The rallying cry comes following mass demonstrations in Chicago which forced Trump to cancel his rally Friday, and tense protests Saturday in Kansas City which resulted in police prematurely using pepper spray to subdue the crowd.

Finally, on Sunday Secret Service rushed to the stage to surround Trump during a speech in Dayton, OH after a man ran on stage during his speech.
Hours after the drama Sunday, a Twitter account dedicated to protecting Trump’s supporters named “The Lions Guard” was launched and disabled shortly thereafter.
It quickly amassed almost 500 followers in the four hours that the account was active, with members asking for ‘uniform suggestions.’
The irony of their stated mission, “We are unarmed, but willing to forcefully protect people if need be” of course, is that it is strikingly similar to the stated mission of the Black Party, a far-left movement for Black Liberation which among many other initiatives lawfully exercised their right to monitor police in neighborhoods where their constitutional rights were being violated.
Yet, Injustice.in is willing to speculate that Lion’s Guard likely would have quantified the BPP as terrorists and “thugs.”
The organized resistance of Donald Trump’s campaign only seems to be gaining strength with each day. It remains to be seen how such widespread rejection of his rhetoric will play out in today’s primaries, where he currently holds commanding leads in every state except Ohio.
