Police say she isn’t dressed the way a woman “is supposed to dress.”
A video showing an unidentified woman being forcibly removed by police officers in North Carolina for “not looking like a woman” is rapidly going viral in the wake of HB2 and the so-called “Bathroom Bills” of North Carolina and Mississippi.
The confrontation was originally caught in December, but resurfaced today as anti-LGBT rhetoric continues to dominate the state’s politics, along with finding its way into presidential campaigns as well.
The deeply disturbing video shows an unidentified young woman – presumably in North Carolina though the location is not specified – being manhandled by police because she isn’t dressed the way a woman “is supposed to dress.”
While onlookers stand up to the cops yelling “she’s a girl,” the cops still disrespectfully demand an ID from the “sir” and then frisk the woman when she doesn’t immediately comply with their demands.
The video, posted by well known Black Lives Matter activist Tamara McDaniel, included the description “Lesbian harassed and forced to leave a public restroom because the police insist she’s a man. Is this what “Make America Great Again” means? This makes me very sad and I want no part of this irrational fear. I mean, you can’t think of a 1000 ways these laws will be used as an excuse to harass, humiliate, and arrest people? SMDH”

And they justify this under “Religious Liberty?”
There is nothing godly about humiliating somebody for the way they look.
