ISIS Fatwa Describes Dos and Don’ts for Raping Female Captives

In a recent raid on ISIS in Syria, a document was uncovered which outlines fifteen points related to the keeping and raping of female captives.  Among the points were prohibitions against fathers and sons raping the same woman and against a man from raping both a woman and her daughter or two sisters.  Read the document here.

The fatwa reveals how the Islamic State is attempting to justify both slavery and the sexual ownership of women by reinforcing ancient moral codes, such as avoiding sexual intercourse with menstruating women and prohibiting anal intercourse.  There are no stipulations regarding the age of the female slaves suitable for sexual intercourse.  Women who have escaped have reported seeing sex slaves as young as 12-years-old. More at Haaretz.
