Migrants take to the streets in Cologne: “We are refugees from Syria. “We’re against racism, sexism and war.”

Migrants in Germany have arranged their own protests against the New Years Eve attacks against women at the Cologne cathedral.  Reports of attacks on that night have now grown to over 500, leading primarily men to take to the street with signs declaring that not all migrants are responsible.

The protests were organized by a 28-year-old, Jabbar Abdullah from Syria.  He planned the first demonstrations to bring to the public eye that the majority of Muslim men are opposed to violence against women and do not stand behind the perpetrators of the recent attacks.
