A source in the NYPD has told the NY Daily News that an undercover detective, whose name has not yet been released, has been accused of rape and sexual assault on a woman.
Sources say the 10-year veteran of the Internal Affairs Bureau was arrested on Friday. A woman reportedly called 911 from the detective’s home and requested an ambulance. After the ambulance arrived at the home in Brooklyn, an intoxicated woman told the emergency responders that nothing had happened. The NYPD also sent a patrol car to the scene which began to investigate the rape allegation and ultimately make an arrest.
According to the NY Daily News, the assault happened in Canarise at the 69th police precinct.
Injustice.in will be following the story of the detective’s arrest and is awaiting more information on the identity of the man charged. The Daily News reports that the officer was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Saturday, despite the objections of ranking officers from the Internal Affairs Bureau.
