“If you really believe it’s murder, then the woman has to be punished. That is the logical conclusion.”

Today’s assault on women’s health and reproductive rights comes from our extremist friend Theodore Shoebat.
We’ve featured his ranting before; he’s the guy who wants swat teams to raid the homes of gay couples with adopted children, presumably to “de-gay” them.
In his latest video, the frighteningly bigoted Christian blasted Republican Governor Mary Fallin of Oklahoma – herself a frequent enemy of reproductive health – for her decision to veto legislation passed overwhelmingly in both the state House and Senate that would have made it a felony for doctors to perform abortions in the state.
He also found time to include a scathing criticism of GOP candidate Donald Trump‘s decision to back away from his previous position that women having abortions should be punished, insisting that he really meant that “women punish themselves” by making this choice.
“He should have never retracted his statement,” asserted Shoebat, “if you really believe it’s murder, then the woman has to be punished. That is the logical conclusion.”
According to Shoebat, a woman who has an abortion is not the victim, “she’s a selfish slut who needs to be punished.”
After declaring Governor Fallin to be a “witch” for vetoing Oklahoma’s bill, known formally as SB-1522, Shoebat insisted that the provision in the law mandating a three year prison sentence for doctors performing reproductive health services “is not really a big deal” and, incredulously enough, should probably carry a tougher sentence.
“Yeah, arrest all the abortion doctors and put them before a firing squad and kill ’em,” Shoebat says, “but do not exempt the woman. The woman also needs to be in front of that firing squad as well.”
Sounds eerily reminiscent of Robert Dear, the Planned Parenthood shooter who called his massacre at a Colorado clinic a “righteous crusade.”
